Walter Hayes 4 Missouri

Walter was born in Joplin, Missouri, but his family moved south when he was a small boy resulting in Walter growing up in South Louisiana. After spending 27 years in Louisiana, he relocated to Austin, Texas, for two years, followed by a two-year stint in Hamilton, New Zealand. In 1999, after Walter was finished with his time overseas, Walter and his family decided to come back to Southwest Missouri, specifically in Carl Junction where his father and grandmother had started developing what became Schoolview Estates.

Since then, Walter has been deeply involved in the community, serving on the Board of Alderman from 2003 to 2011, including six years as Mayor Pro Tem. In 2024, he rejoined the Board of Alderman, currently representing Ward 2. Additionally, Walter has been a past member of the Economic Development Committee and held leadership roles, including Vice President and President of the Carl Junction Chamber of Commerce.

Walter married Regina in June 2016, and together they have five children, fifteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Walter and Regina are members of Joplin Family Worship Center where they head the Young Enough to Serve ministry to the over 50 crowd. Walter and Regina are both Ordained ministers and run FTN Ministries. Through FTN ministries they teach, preach, and sing in churches across the midwest. Walter is also a certified Constitution Coach with Patriot Academy, where he leads constitution classes.

Walter has been in the corporate world for 30 years but he's also been an entrepreneur. He has been a real estate agent since 1999 and broker since 2021. Walter helped his family in the development of Schoolview Estates in Carl Junction where he and his wife Regina currently reside.
